Welcome to MLPC home page. Browse & enjoy what we have to offer.

2026 marks 96 years of family ownership & operation as a tourist camp by the Matthews family.
We are now three Matthews family members strong - Me (Johnny), Scott (one of my sons) & my granddaughter Leneath (Scotty's daughter).

We are all three on the same page as to providing to our guests the best possible vacation ever! Check out all the links to learn more about MLPC especially (About The Camp).

The Log Cabin (cottage #6)
Built in the 1930s but still as popular as ever/often called the Honeymoon cabin because that is where Mom & Dad spent their honeymoon in 1936. A new porch since 1930.

This is going back to the late 30s / early 40s with what we just called "The Gas Boat". That's my Dad @ Stillers Landing waiting for guests to arrive. That was the end of the road @ that time. Water transport to MLPC was the only way.

I look forward to meeting some new friends and future guests!
If you're interested and need more information about me or the camp, call me in the evening since I am usually outside all day, or better still, send me a list of questions via email. It will be a pleasure to answer your concerns and to talk to you.
To have you stay at the camp as a guest and a friend would be my pleasure!

Your Future Host, Johnny M

P.S. Another added feature at the camp is Internet with free WiFi availability.

Pets, being a part of every family, are welcome provided they are well behaved.
Please bring your own blankets to cover the furniture as shedding hair gives our cleaning crew a hard time
