My Dad's first log cabin (built in 1936).
As popular as ever with the addition of a new covered porch!
Welcome toMatthews Little Portage Camp (MLPC) website. Be sure to check us out on Facebook to find out what's happening @ MLPC. My name is Johnny Matthews, owner/operator of the camp my Mom and Dad started with one little Log Cabin in 1936; I have been on the scene since 1942.

There are 8cottages privately spaced apart on five (5) acres of land, all having slight to modest elevation, access to boat docking on both sides of the lake.
The Camp, on a 5-acre narrows called an isthmus (like Panama), has water on both sides giving us the advantage of close proximity to the good fishing spots. This also allows plenty of open water for safe water skiing and any other water sports.
There is easy access to boat launches and docking facilities on the camp property and help is always available if needed.
The camp'ssand beach is gently sloping and large enough to enjoy a refreshing swim, build a sandcastle, soak up the sun or any other beach activities you might enjoy.
We are open for business! Book your Summer or Fall stay with us! Click here to read more and see availability

Pets, being a part of every family, are welcome provided they are well behaved. Please bring your own blankets to cover the furniture as shedding hair gives our cleaning crew a hard time.

I look forward to meeting some new friends and future guests! If you're interested and need more information about me or the camp, call me in the evening since I am usually outside all day, or better still, send me a list of questions via email. It will be a pleasure to answer your concerns and to talk to you. To have you stay at the camp as a guest and a friend would be my pleasure!
